Christian culture has too often offered women a push toward contentment that can numb us to our own desires, without offering the tools to discern whether those desires could be good or Holy-Spirit-inspired.

About This Quote

The idea of making and keeping a man happy and contented is the equivalent of the idea of making and keeping a woman happy and contented. Christian women need to know more than just how to be good wives and mothers, they need to know how to be good Christians as well. It is important that we understand that God has more plans for us than just being good wives and mothers. We need to know what the Scriptures have to say about our own personal faith, faith in God, faith in His Word, faith in His plans for us.

We need to give our husband or boyfriend or husband spiritual counsel when he needs it, not just emotional counselling. We need to be able to discern what is right for us both in the spiritual realm as well as in our physical lives.
